Rates & Insurance Rates:

The fee for a 1 hour (50-minute) therapy appointment is based on the level of licensure of your provider. The initial session fees are higher because they require additional administrative time for gathering pertinent information, scheduling appointments, authorizing insurance, and completing intake paperwork. Additional session rates apply to individual, couples, and family counseling.

Using Insurance Benefits:

Our therapists are paneled with most major insurance companies. Each individual benefit plan varies even with the same insurance provider so our office staff will be verifying before your first visit. Sometimes insurance companies allow benefits even though the provider is not actually paneled with them so if you do not see your preferred therapist’s name listed on your plan, please call our office to inquire about the services we can provide. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

Ø Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

Ø What is my deductible and has it been met?

Ø How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

Ø What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

Ø Is approval required from my primary care physician?

For clients with high deductibles, a health savings account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged medical savings account for people enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). The funds in the HSA can be used for certain medical expenses, including psychotherapy. I will provide you with an invoice with detailed charges.

Payment

For your convenience, we accept cash, checks and most major credit cards. All fees and unpaid balances are due at the time of your scheduled session.

Sliding Scale Rates:

We strive to provide quality services at affordable rates for all of the individuals and families we serve. We also recognize that with the economic changes that have affected so many of the residents in our community, the standard rates may not be feasible. A limited number of sessions are available at a reduced rate if:

Ø You choose to utilize the services of our Licensed Clinical Interns

Ø You are experiencing a serious financial hardship AND

Ø You will not be filing any insurance claims for the services

Cancellation Policy:

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have NOT notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a full fee prior to scheduling your next appointment.
